With the installation of drainage systems on Trunk Road 007 and the clearing of more than 4 kilometers of roads, national, regional and municipal agencies are carrying out infrastructure work in the municipality of Boconó, Trujillo state, with the aim of guaranteeing road safety and mitigating the damage caused by recent rainfall.
In the Batatal sector of the Ayacucho parish, Governor Gerardo Márquez supervised this Monday the placement of 12 high-strength 84-inch concrete rings, which will allow the drainage of the flow of the El Rincón and Los Guayabos streams.
“We went to Batatal to oversee the progress on the road rehabilitation of Trunk Road 007. Despite the rains, the work continues and is advancing steadily. Very soon we will deliver this important road artery that connects Trujillo with Portuguesa fully rehabilitated,” Márquez wrote on his social media.
In addition, terracing, excavation and slope stabilization work was carried out to recover this vital artery that connects the municipalities of Boconó and Campo Elías with the state of Portuguesa.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of Public Works, the Trujillo Governorate and the Great Mission Barrio Nuevo Barrio Tricolor intervened 4 kilometers of ditches and shoulders in the Vega Abajo sector of the Boconó parish, where they also removed approximately 400 cubic meters of sediment that impeded free transit and represented a risk to drivers and pedestrians.
For its part, the Bolivarian Mayor's Office of Boconó reported on its social networks that it is maintaining cleaning and weeding work on Trunk Road 007, as well as preventive tree pruning in the MTC sector in order to mitigate risks and guarantee the safety of the population.
This entire comprehensive approach has the operational support of Civil Protection, the Fire Department, Corpoelec, and the Engineering, Roads, and Transportation departments, demonstrating the institutions' commitment to restoring peace and providing roads in optimal condition to the people of Trujillo.
