Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) detained a man who was traveling in an express taxi, with 167 drug pens in his body.
The subject came from Colombian territory and was captured at the Citizen Attention Point (PAC) of La Morita, in the Fernández Feo municipality in the South of the Andean entity.
The military report details that the subject had hired the services of a taxi driver to transport the cache to the capital. This modus operandi sought to evade controls on the PACs.
The strange behavior of the citizen caught the attention of the drug expert sentinels, who realized that there was something unusual and proceeded to examine the citizen.
The transfer of the drug, intraorganically, was a quantity of 167 fingers of high purity cocaine hydrochloride, which weighed one kilo 245 grams.
The procedure took place in the jurisdiction of the ZODI 21 Táchira Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone, the detainee was placed under the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
Compressor full of marijuana
In another procedure, carried out in the South Zone of Táchira, another citizen was apprehended by FANB troops when he was traveling on public transport with a compressor full of marijuana.
The drug's final destination was the city of Barinas. The individual boarded a bus in the town of La Victoria, Apure state and was carrying an air compressor as part of his belongings.
At the La Pedrera PAC he was spotted by effective drug specialists, who noted that the aforementioned compressor was actually carrying 27 kilos with 650 grams of cannabis.
The subject was moving alone. The case was also notified to the Public Ministry with jurisdiction over the type of crime.
