Technical teams from the Ministry of Habitat and Housing are conducting an evaluation and registration of housing units impacted by the rains in the Barrancas and Santa Eduviges sectors of the Cárdenas municipality, with the purpose of formulating a housing plan for the affected population.
This was reported by the Minister of Habitat and Housing, Paola Posani, who indicated that the survey, carried out jointly with the Táchira Governorate and Civil Protection, allows for precise information to advance in the rehabilitation and replacement of homes, a project that will be presented to the Presidency of the Republic in the coming days.
For his part, Governor Freddy Bernal indicated that the operational deployment seeks to assist families who suffered the total or partial collapse of their homes and offer housing and public service solutions, in coordination with the communities and local authorities.
This initiative is part of the work carried out by the ministerial commission sent by President Delcy Rodríguez to assess the impacts generated after the constant rainfall recorded in the border state during the last few weeks.
The commission was chaired by the Vice President of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez, who reiterated the national government's willingness to address the damage caused to public services, roads and housing in various municipalities of the Andean region.
