More than 3500 animal protein combos at a reasonable price were received by communities in the rural and urban areas of the Bolívar municipality, in the border zone of Táchira.
From the Antonio Ricaurte neighborhood field, one of the favored communities, the mayor of the jurisdiction, Sandra Sánchez, highlighted that this is a benefit resulting from the work carried out jointly by the three levels of government.
The municipal administration and the entire staff of the mayor's office are working to make the event a reality and deliver the food supplement to every household. "Two chickens for each family at a very affordable price, unavailable anywhere in the market," he said.
The municipal authority was accompanied in the delivery of the food supplement by the regional manager of Mercal, Javier Flores, and leaders of UBCh and the community, which received the combo.
The families of the Juan Vicente Gómez and Isaías Medina Angarita parishes, which represent the rural area of the municipality, and the La Guadalupe commune, Ruiz Pineda and Ricaurte neighborhoods of San Antonio del Táchira, benefited from the event. “It is a blessing for each of the families. We thank God for giving us life and allowing us to be here to serve them,” said the mayor.
