For this Wednesday, the presentation hearing of the deputy of Popular Will (VP), Roland Carreño, arrested last Monday by the Special Actions Force (Faes), said sources of the judicial system.
Carreño was arrested in flagrante delicto, that is, allegedly committing a crime or having just committed it, as reported Tuesday night by the attorney general, Tarek William Saab. "They syndicate said citizen in the delivery of weapons of war and cash to certain subjects to promote violent actions in the national territory," wrote Saab.
From other sources we learned that Carreño has made preliminary statements in which he allegedly admits that he is in charge of mobilizing monetary resources to support the "interim government." The deputy has said that this is a "perfectly legal activity within a government." On that point, he explained in his answers what is the procedure for the resources to go down to the VP party, as well as to its main leaders. In that sense, Carreño revealed to the authorities how deputy Juan Guaidó has managed Citgo, the Venezuelan oil company based in the United States.
The Attorney General reported on his Twitter account that, at the time of his arrest, Carreño "was found $ 12.000 in cash and a R15 (rifle)." In the presentation hearing scheduled for this Wednesday, the Public Ministry will proceed to the imputation of Roland Carreño before a criminal court.
