Members of the Comprehensive Aerospace Defensive System of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), with their fighter jets, disabled the aircraft of the Armed Terrorist Drug Trafficking groups of Colombia (Tancol), number 17 of the year 2022, in the Rómulo Gallegos municipality, Apure state.
The information was released by the Operational Strategic Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, through his account on the social network Twitter.
Venezuela "will not be a platform for drug trafficking," so all planes that are illegally present in our country will be destroyed.
Hernández Lárez pointed out that the military personnel "penetrate by air into the most inhospitable areas of our geography, in search missions and to expel the TANCOL groups present in our territory."
The head of Ceofanb said that Venezuela is a territory of peace, and that "no type of structures of foreign invading armed groups will be allowed in our territory."
On the other hand, it indicated that through Operation Bolivarian Shield 2022, in joint operations with ZODI Táchira, REDI Los Andes, military officials dismantled and destroyed a Tancol camp.
