Yulimar reigned in Monaco after months of inactivity

With the same rhythm as always, but much more anxiety than usual, Yulimar Rojas reappeared this Friday at the Meeting Herculis of the Diamond League. And although she failed half of her attempts, she managed to escape her rivals and start the Outdoor season on the right foot.

The Venezuelan, who had not seen action for more than four months, was somewhat anxious on the track and failed four of her six attempts. However, with a record of 14.27 she managed to look far superior to her rivals.

Rojas failed her first attempt and in the second she reached 14 meters and four centimeters to place third, behind the Bulgarian Gabriela Petrova (14,18) and the Portuguese Patrícia Mamona (14,08), who ultimately completed the podium thanks to the records obtained for that occasion.

Two attempts later the Venezuelan got the 14.27 with which she sentenced the competition.

This is Rojas' lowest mark in Monaco, since since she debuted in 2016 with a jump of 14.64 she had always managed to surpass herself. However, given the conditions of 2020, there is no rush or concern.

The queen will go little by little.
