Omar Vizquel was announced as the manager of the Tijuana Bulls

The Tijuana Bulls of the Mexican Baseball League, announced this Monday the Venezuelan Omar Vizquel as their new manager for the 2020 season, said announcement was published on the team's official account on the social network Twitter.

After playing 24 seasons in the MLB, the 11-time Gold Glove winner was part of the Detroit Tigers coaching staff, in addition, he was a manager for the Advanced Class A branch of the Chicago White Sox in 2018, where he was awarded as "Manager of the Year" after leading the team to their league title.

It should be remembered that the former shortstop took the reins of the Venezuelan team in the World Baseball Classic in 2017.

In the Mexican Baseball League, Vizquel will have a different job than what he has been doing in the United States, and that is that in that league the teams focus mainly on winning championships and not on developing players, so this will be a great opportunity for the 52-year-old from Caracas.
