Great leagues of the Caribbean will meet in the "Chico"

Already thinking about what seems to be the imminent season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, some of the great figures that Caribes de Anzoátegui has would be reported in the coming days to the team's training sessions at the Alfonso “Chico” Carrasquel stadium.

The great leagues Willians Astudillo and Jaíro Díaz would be the next incorporations that the tribe will receive for the 2020-21 campaign, which could be starting in late November or early December.

Astudillo comes from playing some games with the Minnesota Twins, although the lack of regularity would be one of the points for which the "Tortuga" would be from the beginning with the troop led by Jackson Melián.

For his part, Díaz spent a large part of the year playing relevant roles in the Colorado Rockies bullpen, even being considered to close some games.

Both would need a short time to be in shape, according to reports from journalist Ignacio Serrano, who reported the early incorporation of both figures to the tribe.

In addition, with a view to a possible opening day in the coming weeks, the aborigines have already been conducting training on their own, with the presence of some veterans such as Niuman Romero and Jean Toledo. Infielder Luis Sardiñas and receiver Jesús Sucre are even expected to soon practice.

Last year Anzoátegui finished in fourth position in the table with a record of 22-20, in what was Melián's first season at the helm. Cardenales de Lara took the championship for the second year in a row, defeating the tribe in the final.
