UCV returned to winning ways after beating Rayo Zuliano 4-1 this Monday, valid for matchday 6 of the FUTVE League; the tricolor team came back from an adverse score in the second half to end a negative streak of three consecutive defeats and add 6 points in the Clausura Tournament.
The match started off difficult for the home side after Andrés Kinsler put Rayo Zuliano ahead in the 21st minute following an assist from Paolo Chacón. However, the game's dynamic changed dramatically before halftime with Ángel Jiménez's dismissal in the 39th minute for a second yellow card, leaving the Zuliano team with ten men on the pitch.
In the second half, UCV capitalized on their numerical advantage and unleashed an offensive onslaught. Samuel Sosa became the star of the show, scoring a brace in the space of eight minutes: he equalized in the 54th minute after a pass from Francisco Solé and then put UCV ahead 2-1 in the 62nd minute with a pass from Jhonner Alegría.

With the score in their favor, the home team sealed the victory in the final stretch. Jhonner Alegría scored the third goal in the 81st minute, assisted by Juan Camilo Zapata, and completed his performance with a brace, netting the final goal in the 90+3 minute of stoppage time after another assist from Solé.
With this result, UCV ends its negative streak of three consecutive defeats, while Rayo Zuliano remains at the bottom of the standings with only 3 points.
