Moisés Ballesteros completed an outstanding offensive performance this Monday, being the main figure with the bat for the Los Angeles Angels despite the 5-2 loss against the Boston Red Sox.
The Venezuelan native launched his eighth home run of the season with a solid shot between right and center field. The solo hit accounted for one of the two runs produced by the Anaheim lineup in the game.
In total, Ballesteros finished the day 4-for-3 with a home run, one RBI and one run scored, and in addition, his great individual performance allowed him to raise his batting average to .216 so far this season, a record that has had a gradual growth despite the lack of consistency in connecting hits.

Despite the Venezuelan's efforts, Boston's starting pitching dominated the game. Brayan Bello earned the win after a solid 5-inning start, allowing no earned runs, issuing two walks, and striking out seven.
The Dominican right-hander's performance left his record at 6-7 with a 4.82 ERA, leading the Red Sox to victory.
