Manchester City have officially announced the signing of Senegalese winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, after completing a transfer valued at 75 million euros, in a deal that includes an initial payment of 70 million euros, with an additional five million subject to performance-related variables.
Manchester City activated their option to sign Ndiaye after negotiations for Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo fell through due to Liverpool's refusal to sell. With this move, Enzo Maresca's team beat Tottenham, who had also shown strong interest in acquiring him.
Ndiaye leaves Everton after two seasons under David Moyes, with whom he scored six goals last season, after originally being acquired from Marseille for 17.5 million euros.

With his arrival, the Senegalese international becomes Manchester City's fourth major signing since the end of last season, joining the previous acquisitions of Elliot Anderson, Ayyoub Bouaddi and winger Allan Elias.
