Caracas FC and Portuguesa FC drew 1-1 this Wednesday in the match corresponding to the 7th round of the FUTVE League Clausura Tournament. This draw leaves the Caracas team in 9th place in the standings with 7 points, while the visiting team has 12 points to provisionally remain in 5th place.
The Avila team managed to break the deadlock in the final stretch of the first half. In the 34th minute, Christian Larotonda sent the ball into the back of the net to put the "Reds of Avila" ahead and give his team the lead before halftime.
In the second half, the game's momentum shifted towards Portuguesa's search for an equalizer. The visitors made substitutions in the final stages, and the response came from the bench; in the 78th minute, José Pérez leveled the score after capitalizing on an assist from Ovidio López, who had come on moments earlier.
Despite late efforts and substitutions made by both managers, the score remained tied until the final whistle. With this result, Caracas records its fourth draw of the tournament, while Portuguesa extends its unbeaten run to three matches after two previous victories.
