The Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Yván Gil, made a visit this Wednesday to the Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Research (Ivic) to verify the different advances and training plans that are being carried out.

"During the visit, we learned about the work being done in regenerative medicine, agricultural biotechnology and microbiology, as well as the researcher training programs carried out at the Center for Advanced Studies," he said.
He emphasized that, within the framework of the Venezuela Renace Plan, they are promoting the "rebirth of science and technology" in the country, aimed at responding to current needs and "contributing strategically to its economic development."
"Venezuela has researchers, talent, infrastructure, equipment and, above all, the will and commitment of its scientific community," he asserted.
Among the spaces visited are the Cell Therapy Unit, the Biotechnology Center, the Molecular Biology Laboratory, the Microbiology and Cell Biology Center and the Study Control area, spaces that are important for the development of scientific solutions applied to health, production and well-being in Venezuela.
Gil noted that the ministry is working on launching new calls for research projects, where Venezuelan female scientists play a leading role.
"Recently, an analysis of women's projects has been conducted, and their results will be announced shortly," she commented.
He also held a working meeting with the authorities of IVIC to outline the priority lines of action in terms of development and technological advancement.
