Pdval supply network strengthened in Falcón and Nueva Esparta

The Coro and Porlamar branches benefit more than 8.600 families

The rollout of the National Recovery Plan for the public distribution network continues, with the opening and reactivation of PDVAL and Mercal establishments in the states of Falcón and Nueva Esparta, guaranteeing access to basic food basket products with discounts of up to 30% compared to the traditional market.

The 221st store in the national network opened its doors at the Sabilven aloe processing plant, located in the Miranda municipality of Falcón state. This establishment directly impacts the food sovereignty of more than 2.600 families belonging to the Bolívar El Libertador and El Despertar de la Patria communes.

The Minister of Food, Carlos Augusto Leal Tellería, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Government, Marelys Castro, and the President of Sabilven, José Diego Castillo, reported that this location is the third of the eight that are projected to be reactivated in the state.

The space includes FarmaPatria kiosks, a food outlet selling animal protein, deli meats, vegetables, personal hygiene items, and continuous service for Sabilven's working class. Leal Tellería emphasized that this policy contributes to the national food supply, which exceeds 745 tons per month.

The 221st store in the national network opened its doors at the facilities of the aloe vera processing plant (Sabilven), located in the city of Coro (Miranda municipality) in the state of Falcón.

The establishment will directly impact the food sovereignty of more than 2.600 families in the Bolívar El Libertador and El Despertar de la Patria communes.

This establishment is the third of the eight that are projected to be reactivated in the Falcon state to guarantee direct access to basic food basket products, according to information provided by the Minister of Popular Power for Food, Carlos Augusto Leal Tellería.

The Minister of Food, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Government, Marelys Castro, and the president of Sabilven, José Diego Castillo, highlighted that the launch of this space has a positive impact on the savings of more than 7 inhabitants, since users will be able to acquire products at 30% below the prices established in the traditional market.

He also highlighted the promotion of national products, giving priority to the marketing of items with the "Made in Venezuela" seal.

This supply includes FarmaPatria for the sale of medicines, animal protein, deli meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as personal hygiene items.

"This space will offer continuous support to the workforce and operational staff of the Sabilven processing company, consolidating the social protection of the working class, thanks to the protection policies strengthened by our president Delcy Rodríguez," highlighted Minister Leal Tellería.

He also emphasized that this policy addresses speculative prices and contributes to the full supply of the nation, which consumes more than 745 tons of food on average per month.

It is worth mentioning that during the opening ceremony, a showcase of entrepreneurs with local products was presented, including the National Institute of Nutrition, the Cooks of the Homeland, and local producers.

Super Abasto Pdval reopens its doors in Porlamar

In Nueva Esparta, with the reopening of the PDVAL Supermarket in Los Olivos, more than 6.000 families belonging to the Camarada Roberto Cabello Commune of the Mariño municipality and its adjacent areas once again have a comprehensive space for access to basic necessities.

The supply coverage, coordinated with the Local Committees for Supply and Production (CLAP) system, directly reaches 10 community councils and 12 organized sectors within the municipality. The store's offerings are not limited to essential food items, but also include a regular sale of meat products, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, baby products, and household goods.

“We have very affordable prices; here you can find protein, chicken, fish, groceries, and cleaning products. We also have children's lines and kitchen utensils at truly incredible prices. Opening this space will help all of us neighbors tremendously,” said Janeth Pinto, spokesperson for the Camarada Roberto Cabello Commune.

During the opening day, regional and national authorities reaffirmed their commitment to the social welfare of the island entity.

"They will be cared for with love every day to guarantee food security for our people and, with it, social protection for our island of Margarita," said Marisel Velásquez, governor of the state of Nueva Esparta.

For its part, the public network's management emphasized the fundamental role that popular organizational power and local production will play in the sustainability of these points of sale.

"An entire team is deployed to stand alongside the community and tell our beloved people that their PDVAL and Mercal are here. The intention is to connect all national production and give our entrepreneurs the opportunity and space they need," stated Major General José Félix Medina Estrada, president of Mercal.

With the opening of this branch in Porlamar, Nueva Esparta is making concrete progress in optimizing its public food distribution network. This achievement follows the recent inauguration of the Mercal supermarket in Pampatar (Maneiro municipality), consolidating a direct service route that aims to ensure daily supplies for the most vulnerable communities in the Pearl of the Caribbean.
