More than four thousand families from Santos Marquina received the Clap

The Local Supply and Production Councils (Clap) of the Santos Marquina de Mérida municipality, distributed more than four thousand combos with food from the basic basket to the families of the jurisdiction.

The information was provided by the mayor José Balmore Otalora, who mentioned that the benefited sectors were: La Mucuy, Filo del Loro, Pedregal de Tabay, Las Lomas del Cucharito, Aguas Calientes and San Rafael de Tabay.

He indicated that from the Mayoralty of Santos Marquina they are promoting the Agricultural Clap, a program with which they attended only this week to 600 families from El Pedregal, Tabay and Los Llanitos de Tabay; with the policy of supporting the community and at the same time promoting food sovereignty in the locality.

He stressed that the Agricultural Clap is effective due to the integration of the peasant sector, which, together with the Food Hall, agreed to offer the products grown in the area at low costs for the population of Santos Marquina.

Finally, Mayor Otalora invited the inhabitants of the municipality who have not yet organized to form the Clap in their communities, so that they can benefit from the following days of food sales, which also include proteins, such as chicken, meat, eggs, fish and sausages.
