Starting Monday, July 27, a series of inspections will begin at the four gas filling plants, in the municipalities of Campo Elías, Alberto Adriani and Tulio Febres Cordero in the state of Mérida; which depend on the state company Nevado Gas that operates together with Pdvsa Gas.
These actions are taken after the dismantling of a band dedicated to the illegal filling of cylinders, which was surprised by a commission from the Bolivarian National Police, at the El Salado sector plant; in the procedure, they detained four subjects and seized 70 cylinders, in addition to a long-chassis Toyota. This fact and the alleged internal complicity are investigated by the Public Ministry.
The information on the inspections was released by a Corpomerida press release, Rodolfo Contreras, new manager of the Nevado Gas company, appointed this week by the protector of the Merida state, Jehyson Guzmán.
He explained that in the inspections they will verify the operation of these plants. Likewise, he recognized the work carried out by the personnel who work there.
Last Thursday, Contreras held a meeting with the representatives of these four filling plants, located, two in El Vigía, one on the Pan-American highway in Mérida and the third in the town of Nueva Bolivia; At that meeting, they drew up immediate lines of work to improve the provision of service to Merida communities.
