No Rest for the Wicket 1.0 will now arrive in March 2027 on consoles and PC

Moon Studios states that it needs more time to ensure that the performance and class system are optimized.

Moon Studios has confirmed that the release of No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 has been postponed from October of this year to March 2027.

In case you're unfamiliar with it, No Rest for the Wicked is an action role-playing game for one or more players from the creators of Ori. It was released in Early Access on Steam on April 18, 2024, receiving mostly positive reviews thanks to its launch content and various gameplay elements. Despite being in Early Access for two years, the game has captivated players worldwide. In February, the team celebrated selling 1,5 million copies.

The news was announced directly by the development team on Twitter. In the post, they stated that while they are close to finishing the game, they need more time to ensure that performance and the class system are optimized. They also indicated that this additional time will allow the community to conduct more beta testing.

“The truth is, we’re a small team and we demand a non-negotiable level of quality for our games. We’re close, but being close isn’t enough for the full release of version 1.0,” the statement reads. “The extra time will help us improve performance, refine the class system, and polish the game to meet everyone’s expectations. We’d rather take a few more months than release something we know isn’t perfect yet.”

No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 will also be coming to consoles in 2027

Earlier this summer, they announced that they would be delaying the launch for Xbox consoles due to quality issues related to the launch on the Series S model.

While there's no official release date, PlayStation pre-orders have been confirmed to begin in January. Additionally, those who purchased the game on Steam before 2027 will receive the Founder's Pack as a thank you.
