The Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (Funvisis) reported a new series of earthquakes in western Venezuela, with epicenters located near Aroa, in the Bolívar municipality of Yaracuy state. These events are part of the ongoing monitoring that the organization maintains in areas of frequent seismic activity due to the region's active fault systems.

Instrumental reports indicate that recent activity includes significant tremors near the town of Aroa in Yaracuy state. Among the events highlighted by the agency is a magnitude 3.7 earthquake located 28 kilometers northwest of Aroa, with a shallow depth that facilitated its perception in neighboring towns. This activity adds to the recurring earthquakes detected in recent weeks along the border between the states of Yaracuy and Falcón.
The geographical location of the epicenters places the earthquakes in areas close to important urban centers in the central-western region, equidistant from cities such as San Felipe and Barquisimeto.
In light of these events, Funvisis reminds the public of the importance of remaining calm, applying citizen self-protection protocols, and refraining from spreading unofficial information that generates unnecessary alarm in the community.
