According to the Guaicaipuro Mayor's Office's management report, the "Violet Line" program handled a total of 279 cases of gender-based violence during 2025. This was detailed in a press release from the local entity.
Jenny Ahumada de Fraija, the project's promoter, explained that upon receiving an alert, the institute created three years ago is immediately deployed.
"During the year, the Violet Line received a total of 279 phone calls. After the verification and deployment process, 247 complaints were consolidated, which resulted in the capture and detention of 30 aggressors," he specified.
The coverage included 120 cases through the regular legal system and legal guidance for 44 women. Another 51 cases were referred to entities such as Iamujerg and the Council for the Protection of Children and Adolescents to receive specialized support.
Ahumada explained that, although 62 cases were detected in flagrante delicto, some did not reach a formal complaint due to fear of the victim or difficulties in locating them.
"The Violet Line team is directly involved with the path to justice for survivors," she stated, noting that most cases involve threats and physical violence.
The report revealed specific failures in 18 cases where the peace quadrants in sectors such as El Paso and Paracotos did not respond immediately. In response, the municipality reported that corrective measures have already been taken to improve police response.
Finally, as part of the prevention policy, aggressors must attend mandatory training on new masculinities and the use of the "violence meter." With these figures, the local administration reaffirms that women's safety is a priority, based on the premise that in Guaicaipuro there will be no rest until a municipality free of violence is achieved.
