Rain and electrical activity in several regions of the country this Saturday

Inameh urges citizens to remain alert in areas experiencing heavy rainfall.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh) reported this Saturday, October 3, on the development of cloudy areas that cause precipitation of varying intensity, electrical activity and gusts of wind in various sectors of the national territory.

According to the official report, these weather conditions are primarily affecting western Apure and Barinas states, as well as the Andean region and Zulia state. The agency forecasts that this atmospheric pattern will persist for the next two hours.

Stable conditions prevail across much of Venezuela, with partly to mostly clear skies. However, cloudy areas with intermittent rain and thunderstorms persist in isolated parts of western Bolívar, northern Amazonas, western Apure, Barinas, the Andes, and Zulia.

For the next six hours, from six in the morning until noon, the institute anticipates partly clear skies in a large portion of Venezuelan territory, although with cloud formations capable of generating variable precipitation in Bolívar, Amazonas, Delta Amacuro, Sucre, Caracas, Miranda, Aragua, Carabobo, Barinas, Apure, Guárico, Portuguesa, Cojedes, Los Andes and Zulia.

Given the evolving weather, the specialized agency urged citizens and prevention organizations to remain alert, especially in jurisdictions where rainfall accompanied by electrical activity and strong gusts of wind are forecast.
