An investment of nearly $400.000 was announced by the Minister of Communes, Ángel Prado, to finance grassroots projects in Apure state. The announcement was made at the San Antonio Páez fairgrounds in San Fernando de Apure, during a meeting that brought together representatives from the 182 communes across the state's seven municipalities, along with Governor Wilmer Rodríguez and local mayors.
The approved resources will allow for the continuation and completion of key electrification and drinking water network projects in five sectors of the Guerrero de Cristo Commune, as well as the completion of the water distribution system in four communities of the Los Achaguas Socialist Commune, in addition to supporting productive initiatives in Alto Apure.

During the meeting, the authorities also assessed the reactivation of electoral committees to renew spokespeople in 500 community councils and the technical coordination between the different levels of government to expedite the delivery of additional resources to grassroots organizations.
The day concluded with a commitment to establish a joint work agenda between the Ministry of Communes, the Apure Governorate, and the municipalities, in order to strengthen the territorial self-management model and respond to the priority service requirements in the Apure plains.
