Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei reaffirmed the strategic nature of the alliance with Beijing and strongly condemned the actions of the White House, which he accused of hindering international development through systematic interference.
"Relations between Iran and China have always followed an upward trajectory. We share similar views on international issues. As two leading countries of the Global South and members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and BRICS, we believe that excessive US interventionism hinders the progress of the Global South," the official stated in an official statement released by the local press.
Persian diplomacy emphasized the harmony existing in the highest spheres of both governments to shield their ties against Western pressures, consolidating a platform of geopolitical resistance in various international organizations.
"We are determined to expand the relationship bilaterally and multilaterally. The leaders of both countries agree that this strategic partnership strengthens ties between our two nations, and we are determined to continue along this path," the spokesperson emphasized, reaffirming the continuation of this joint roadmap.
This firm stance reinforces a consistent line of argument that Tehran maintains in multilateral forums. As early as September 7, following the summit held in Bishkek under the auspices of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, Baghaei himself described bilateral ties with the Asian giant as "very cordial, long-lasting, and based on continuous contacts at various levels."
For its part, the Chinese government maintains its staunch rejection of the coercive measures imposed by Washington against Tehran amid the Middle East crisis. Beijing has labelled the US sanctions as lacking international legal legitimacy and outside the framework of the United Nations mandate, insisting that the maximum pressure policy systematically fails and that only political dialogue offers a viable solution.
