This Saturday, October 3, the National Parks Institute (Inparques) celebrates its 53rd anniversary, guaranteeing the conservation, care and preservation of all national and recreational parks in the country.
“We will celebrate 53 years with cleanup and reforestation efforts throughout Venezuela,” highlighted Nelson Rodríguez, Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism and President of Inparques. He added that the activities will take place in Venezuela's 44 National Parks, 37 Natural Monuments, and 65 Recreational Parks.
“And we will also carry out reforestation days throughout the national territory; in those parks where there are soils degraded by forest fires, in those areas we are going to do reforestation, so that we can rescue them,” he pointed out.
He explained that from this Saturday, October 03rd, until October 31st, they will begin with the maintenance of the firebreak in the state of Aragua; also in Trujillo with environmental sanitation and in Nueva Esparta with reforestation.
It is important to mention that in all activities, the Inparques teams, Forest Firefighters and the Little Park Rangers will be present, all working together with the communities that live within and in the areas surrounding the national parks.
Finally, the National Parks Institute (Inparques) is preparing to commemorate its 53rd anniversary with a nationwide campaign focused on the preservation and defense of natural heritage. It extends an invitation to the public to participate and be an active part of these events, which will be detailed on the social media accounts of Inparques (@inparquesoficial) and the Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Nelson Rodríguez (@nelsonrodriguez_ve).
