International relations expert Francisco González emphasized that Venezuelan oil plays a significant role globally, given the need for hydrocarbon resources among countries, hence the importance of the historic agreement signed by the United States with Venezuela, he noted. portal of VTV.
In that regard, during an interview for Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the international analyst explained that the historic agreement to exploit 17 oil fields with the United States guarantees a secure supply of hydrocarbons and an investment of resources for Venezuela, which consolidates the economy and generates jobs for the nation.
González highlighted that the agreement establishes oil exploitation until approximately the year 2050.
“If 5 million barrels are produced, which is an expected maximum in the medium term, that could drop to 10 years. Globally, the expectation for oil production and what drives the global system we live in, the world-system, points to the year 2050 as the peak,” the analyst added.
Regional integration
Furthermore, Francisco González emphasized the role of the Venezuelan people in regional integration with neighboring countries within the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace and their ability to mitigate extreme situations, with popular wisdom and the need to maintain peaceful coexistence.
“And those on the outside have to understand that… the new partners have understood that situation, because Venezuela has definitely been a midwife to that regional integration,” González stated.
