Agreement takes grandparents from Bolívar to Castillos de Guayana

More grandparents from Bolívar state will gradually get to know the Delta

A first group of 50 senior citizens from the Caroní municipality inaugurated the 2026 Vacation Plan with a guided tour of the Castles of Guayana, in the Casacoima municipality, as part of the social tourism agreement between Bolívar and Delta Amacuro, reported Luz Elenny Cabrera, the sole tourism authority of Delta Amacuro.

Cabrera explained that the initiative is completely free and responded to a direct request from the communes and spokespeople for the elderly.

The tours will take place on weekends in the following format: full day, and include gastronomic service facing the Orinoco River with fried fish and recreational activities with board games.

The logistics of transport and hydration were coordinated jointly between the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana (CVG) and the grandparents' circles of Caroní, while the state of Delta Amacuro provided the tourist guides, historians, souvenirs and the conditioning of the facilities of the historical complex.

The institutional coordination involves the Mayor's Office of Casacoima, the tourism departments of both states, Cortudelta and Inatur, along with the Citizen Security Agencies that ensure the safety of the delegations in a program that plans to serve more than 300 senior citizens.
