The President of the Republic and commander in chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, assured that Venezuela is defeating a coup d'état directed from the United States.
“We are defeating and pulverizing a coup d'état, the first criminal cyberfascist coup that has been attempted against Venezuela. Let no one be fooled, it is a coup d'état," he expressed in a meeting with the Strategic Operational Command (CEO) and the heads of the various components of the FANB, regarding the security of the Nation, after the central act of the 87 years of creation of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), in the Ministry of Defense.
In this sense, Maduro reiterated that the extreme right used the electoral process and the social networks TikTok and Instagram to divide and fill Venezuelans with hatred.
He stressed that, despite these coup attempts, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces are united, cohesive and in combat for peace, democracy, the Constitution and the protection of the people.
He said that the FANB has its own, independent, Venezuelanist doctrine, "which broke ties with English textbooks, with the School of the Americas, with the colonialism that turned the military into subordinates of the gringos."
"For them, it is vital to hurt the Bolivarian National Armed Forces from within, to divide them, demoralize them and demobilize them, because they continue to believe that the Venezuelan military is subordinate to the orders of the North American empire," he said, once again denouncing the cyber harassment campaign against Venezuela.
European Union
The president condemned the fact that the European Union (EU) is once again promoting an incongruous discourse when referring to Venezuela. “The same European Union that recognized Guaidó, a disgrace, Mr. Borrell (the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs) who led Ukraine to a war and now washes his hands, remains silent in the face of the Gaza massacre and the genocide (…) now says that in Venezuela there is repression of peaceful demonstrations,” said the President.
Quadrants of peace
He announced that he will redouble all his support to consolidate the Bolivarian National Guard component in every sense. “In its operational capacity, its professionals and social well-being. Much more must be done to consolidate it,” because “it has fundamental missions in union with our people.”
In addition, he said that new formulas will be implemented so that the people, from the Peace Quadrants, have the capacity to react "against the delinquents and criminals of fascism. It is a commitment that I have made with the people in the streets: Protect them.”
The President called to activate the new plans of the Peace Quadrants in their new stage and with the technological update that strengthens the link between the communities and their capacity to react, when addressing the Minister of Popular Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace , Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, from the Command Post.
Along these lines, President Maduro indicated that he expects “recommendations from the highest level of the Nation's Security, Security Council, Defense Council. I need recommendations on this issue,” stating that “more than 92% of the country strongly repudiates the outbreaks of fascist violence.”
