PSUV Secretary General Diosdado Cabello said during his weekly program, With the Gavel Giving, asserted that there is a media rhetoric, which in his opinion, is orchestrated by the opposition to cause fear and anxiety in the population.
"They're deceiving their people again," he said, adding that: "We don't take any threat from imperialism as a joke, very seriously. What is a joke is the smoke-peddling."
Cabello insists that the international media has revived its "scoops" linked to possible US military action against Venezuela to combat drug trafficking groups that, according to them, operate from our country.
"The American and anti-Venezuelan media have been talking for days about the presence of marines, military vessels, and aircraft in the Caribbean Sea, which has caused stateless people, as is sometimes the case, to celebrate and beg Trump to bomb our country. But they've forgotten that in this nation there is a majority of patriots who are willing to defend this sacred land that our liberators bequeathed to us," he said.
Cabello insisted that "the palangristas are irresponsible, since they charge for each message published with false content. Gentlemen of the opposition, they are sending them to you so that you go crazy, because Chavismo is cured of that," he said. "What the Venezuelan opposition is achieving is unscrupulous in creating narratives to confuse its followers and try to scare Venezuelans," he added.
In contrast, he emphasized the flow of the day, filled with joy, morale, and dignity. People came out across the country to join the military enlistment process in defense of the homeland, called for by President Nicolás Maduro last weekend.
