Cabello: Imperialism will not be able with the unity of Cuba and Venezuela

Diosdado Cabello, First Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, affirmed that imperialism will not be able to destroy the independence of Cuba and Venezuela, countries that are more united than ever, because it transcends the spiritual; therefore, "capitalism will never return to Cuba or Venezuela!"

At the anti-imperialist platform commemorating the 68th anniversary of the Moncada Barracks attack in Cuba, Cabello said, "Imperialism will never forgive us for the emergence of a Hugo Chávez, or for the existence of a Fidel Castro in Cuba, and for the Cuban Revolution and the Bolivarian Revolution that are here to stay, representing the struggle of many of our compatriots."

He added, "We will never betray our martyrs; on the contrary, every day we will seek ways to continue advancing our proposals. The United States is the cradle of manipulation; the fundamental recipe for the people is true unity; it is what guarantees our continued progress. If we each stand on our own two feet, imperialism will swallow us up."

He then asserted that every time they meet, imperialism feels it in its ribs. "When people gather together, it's a blow to imperialism's ribs, and we take the wind out of it and weaken it. I wish it could be exported. If there were many Cubas and many Venezuelas, the world would be different, as is happening with vaccines, where poor people don't have the vaccine."

He emphasized that "our nature is solidarity, sharing, and the dignity I spoke of. We feel happy today because we feel we are celebrating the 68th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. On July 28th of last year, I was waking up from Covid-19, and my Cuban brothers and sisters had me waiting for Chávez in Mar de Plata. I woke up physically weak, but strong in dignity."

The PSUV vice president reiterated that "with the Bolivarian Revolution, we learned to say we are free, we are independent, and we hope to see each other when we celebrate 68 years of Revolution. It has been worth it to triumph, and today we are happy to celebrate these 48 years, because our Revolution is a continuation of the Cuban Revolution."

"Your presence here is a moral obligation and an honor for me. My brothers and sisters of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, the Bolivarian Revolution is stronger than ever. Today, it is ready to fight any battle. And I want to send my warmest congratulations to all the Cuban people and government from the heart of a revolutionary," Cabello concluded.
