The Albanian came to collect from the conspirators

Drug money would be used to overthrow Maduro

Enit Kasmi, the Albanian-Colombian, arrived in Venezuela to, among other things, collect from those who paid him and failed to comply with the destabilization plans, specifically those hatched in Zulia state with the participation of business leaders such as José Enrique Rincón or local political figures, such as the seven mayors currently imprisoned.

"Yes, it does have links with the Zulia case," responded the Minister of the Interior, Diosdado Cabello, when we asked him if that was the case.new conspiracy plot described to the media on Monday was related to the other one detected in Zulia, which has seven mayors of that entity behind bars for allegedly collaborating in drug trafficking activities.

In this regard, Cabello maintains that the money derived from drug trafficking or shrimp marketing would finance the conspiracy plans aimed at overthrowing the President Nicolás Maduro“He does have connections,” the Minister repeated.

“The presence of that Albanian here is not a coincidence. His ties here are not a coincidence, his connections here in Venezuela are not a coincidence, his connections in Colombia are not a coincidence,” Cabello responded, delving into the reasons that brought Kasmi to Venezuela. “In Colombia, they try to get in if he's wanted, and what does Douglas see?” the minister asked the director of the CICPC (Central Intelligence Agency) present at the press conference. “Nothing,” the police chief replied. “But when you get involved at other levels, he does appear wanted for drug trafficking,” Cabello added, referring to the Albanian.

“But this isn't just drug trafficking. They're coming to claim those who paid, because here they paid a lot of people, and we seized 32 tons (of drugs) in one fell swoop... and that's money for them. It's money they were using for the conspiracy,” Cabello added, referring to Operation Catatumbo Lightning, one of whose phases began on March 13 and resulted in the seizure of 32 kilos of cocaine by April 673,087, according to figures released by the National Anti-Drug Superintendency (Sunad).

"Remember that all of this began with a meeting detected in Colombia with María Corina Machado and José Enrique Rincón, who used the cover of being a shrimp businessman to help with drug trafficking," the Minister of the Interior recalled.

Cabello denounced this Monday a new conspiracy plotted by María Corina Machada and executed by Iván Simonovis. The Minister stated that the plans were foiled when 38 individuals (17 Venezuelans and 21 foreigners) who entered the country from Colombia were arrested.

The suspects were seized with eight electrical detonators, which they planned to use to carry out attacks against embassies, police stations, hospitals, public services (transportation, electrical substations), and political figures, the Minister explained.

"They want to present to the world that there are no conditions in Venezuela for holding an election," Cabello said at the press conference.

That same Monday, President Nicolás Maduro endorsed Cabello's allegations.
"Your vote is a guarantee of peace in the face of the threats denounced by our colleague Diosdado Cabello. There are 38 new mercenaries arrested. The Albanian mafia that governs Ecuador sent its mercenaries to plant bombs in Venezuela. They have been captured. Three of their phones were seized, and they are talking..." the president declared.

The active tun tun

Here are some of the facts Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello shared during a press conference on Monday:

  • "We seized three of the Albanian's phones, which he refused to give up. Look at those phones, they have pure gold, information, and his contacts here," the Interior Minister emphasized at a press conference yesterday from his office. "We captured groups of foreign citizens who were here in Venezuela with data, information, on the leaders of the Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units; on street leaders, on the leaders of the CLAP (…) a large operations room with that information," he noted.
  • "They (the detainees) said in one of the conversations that at a recent event, they were going to send people to take photos of those around the leaders of the event. The event took place at the National Pantheon. We closed off the area, and they say they couldn't take the photos because things got tough," he said.
  • "This new conspiracy is indeed connected to what was detected in Zulia. Operation Tun-Tun is in full swing," he warned.
