Social movements in Spain condemn US aggression against Venezuela

More than 60 people demonstrated in support of defending the revolutionary Venezuelan and Latin American independence project.

Political, social, and cultural groups from El Morrazo in Spain reaffirmed their condemnation of the threats of invasion, provocations, and persistent aggression by US imperialism against the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian Revolution.

From the council chamber of Cangas, in the province of Pontevedra, the Friendship and Solidarity groups also spoke out firmly against the imperialist escalation that seeks to end a democratic and legitimate government.

"We reject and condemn the actions against Venezuela and other Caribbean countries, specifically the intention to overthrow President Nicolás Maduro Moros, the other objective of this onslaught by the Donald Trump administration," expressed the Forces of El Morrazo, Galicia, in Spain.

This meeting was organized by the Association of Friendship and Solidarity with the Peoples-Morrazo, where more than 60 people attended, all in solidarity and committed to anti-imperialist struggles, who, despite the media blockade, demonstrated their support for the defense of the revolutionary Venezuelan and Latin American independence project.

For his part, the Consul General of the Bolivarian Republic accredited to Galicia and Asturias, Martín Pacheco Morillo, along with a distinguished delegation from the consular office, presented the current situation in Venezuela, detailing the facts and recent events with documents and figures, after analyzing each of the acts of aggression perpetrated by the fascist government of the United States against the peaceful people of Venezuela. "This is about returning to acts of piracy in the Caribbean; stealing the natural resources of the Venezuelan homeland; after a change of regime."

Pacheco insisted that “the Bolivarian Homeland is engaged in prolonged active resistance for the long-awaited victory of the unyielding ideals of peace and friendship among peoples. Long live solidarity among humanity.”

Likewise, the poet Ricardo Villar prepared a poem of solidarity, respect, and support for the anti-imperialist Bolivarian Revolution, successfully raising awareness of the political context of this event. Furthermore, Villar expressed his support for the sovereign and rebellious project, which enjoys the backing of its own people to continue the global struggles against fascism.

Representatives from Ateneo Moaña GPS Morrazo, Conselho Português para la Paz e Cooperação – CPPC, Alternativa de los Vecinos Cangas, Albert Santin, Venezuela Soberana, Ateneo Arenas Gordas AC, and A Tiradoura Alternativa De los Vecinos PCPG attended this event.
