The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated on Wednesday the installation of the board of directors of the National Assembly (AN).
Through a post published on Twitter, he assured that the Venezuelan parliament has a great challenge with the Venezuelan people.
«I greet with great joy the installation of the new Legislative and Constitutional Period 2022-2023 of the National Assembly. Deputies! The challenges for this year are great, of work and dedication, always accompanying the popular struggles of the Venezuelan people.
In another message, he celebrated Jorge Rodríguez's reelection as Speaker of Parliament. "I congratulate the President of the Legislative Branch, Dr. Jorge Rodríguez, and other members of the Board of Directors. Men and women who today take on the challenge of consolidating Good Government and working to find solutions to address the needs of the people. A hug!"
This Wednesday the National Assembly was installed for the period 2022-2023, leaving Jorge Rodríguez as president, Iris Varela as first vice president and Vanesa Montero as second vice president.
