"It is our Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the most powerful core of the United Liberation Army, once again, but now in the 21st century," emphasized this Friday the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, Nicolás Maduro, during the ceremony for the Promotion of Officers to the Rank of Generals, Admirals, and Military Personnel in the first promotion and category of the FANB.
"You here represent the quintessence of the result of a historic effort to rebuild the United Liberation Army of our America," the head of state stated from the Mausoleum of the Liberator Simón Bolívar in the National Pantheon.
He also emphasized that the young military personnel who are rising to the highest ranks, such as Generals and Admirals, represent the quintessence of the historic effort to rebuild the United Liberation Army of America. "Today, the institutional strength of the FANB, the backbone of the independence of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is being demonstrated once again."
The national leader awarded the badges to each of the 223 promoted soldiers and also presented a replica of the 1825 sword of the Liberator Simón Bolívar to the Brigadier Generals and Rear Admirals, given that this has great significance in the military sphere, as this insignia represents the competitiveness of military command, symbolizing the highest rank in the glorious career of the armed forces.
"You are now assuming leadership as generals and admirals. You must set the highest moral example of leadership based on words and actions... Committed words that lift strength and spirit, that create awareness and permanent action to multiply our homeland's defense capacity. So, it is a great joy for me to see you, sons of Chávez, promoted to brigadier generals and rear admirals," Maduro told the promoted officers.
In this order of ideas, the following are the promotions granted by the head of state:
- Division General
- Brigadier General
- Vice Admirals and Rear Admirals
- Officers who ranked first in the Order of Merit in their promotions
Maduro urged the new generals, admirals, and first-place finishers in their respective promotions to swear absolute loyalty to the people. "Swear from your heart absolute loyalty to the Bolivarian project, to the revolutionary project, to the project of Bolívar for the years and decades to come."
"This is an act that demonstrates, as always, at this time of year, just hours before celebrating the 214th anniversary of the heroic declaration of our independence, the institutional strength, the organizational strength, and the spiritual strength of an armed force that stood up and is the backbone of the independence, sovereignty, and dignity of a people destined to become history, a great history," added President Maduro.
The dignitary urged the officers who earned first place in the Order of Merit in their promotions to be exemplary liberating soldiers. "It is the duty of the first in each promotion to maintain absolute honesty, to demand the utmost of self-control in study, in knowledge, in exemplary leadership, in daily discipline."
"When you place on your uniform the next highest rank as the first in each promotion, you must feel in your spirit and in your body a supreme commitment to setting an example so that our Bolivarian National Armed Forces will be increasingly admired by our people and will be an example of what military personnel of dignity are in Latin America and the Caribbean, an example of liberating military personnel," he noted.

The Commander-in-Chief of the National Air Force (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, swore in the new Brigadier Generals, Rear Admirals, and Division Generals and Vice Admirals, as well as the officers who ranked first in the Order of Merit in their promotions this year, 2025.

You swear by the regulations, by the laws, that you will not rest your arms nor repose your souls to work tirelessly to make Venezuela an impregnable, free, sovereign, independent homeland with an anti-imperialist, anti-colonialist, and profoundly Chavista Bolivarian National Armed Force.
