The plenipotentiary representative, Jorge Rodríguez, reported this Saturday that negotiations will continue between the Government Delegation and the opposition to advance in the conclusion of agreements.
This was announced in the hours of the night of this Saturday, after the Norwegian government spoke, which reiterated its position to maintain its impartiality in the dialogues.
Rodríguez stated that after the impasse, which occurred due to the declarations of the Prime Minister of Norway, Erna Solberg, the dialogue between the Government and the opposition continues.
The head of the delegation spoke after the Representative of Norway in the Dialogue Table, Dag Nylander, reiterated that he maintains his impartial position in the negotiation process.
"The Norwegian facilitation team will maintain and demonstrate strict impartiality in its dealings with the parties, according to established guidelines. In this regard, we regret that the recent UN declaration may undermine confidence in our role. It is essential that this negotiation process be conducted among Venezuelans themselves, without any undue interference. For Norway's part, we would like to acknowledge the results achieved in previous rounds. We expect the parties to achieve significant progress during these days here in Mexico that will benefit the well-being of the Venezuelan people," said Dag Nylander, Norway's representative at the Dialogue Table.

"With the reading that has just taken place by the representative of the facilitation team from the Kingdom of Norway, we consider this impasse overcome" and "we continue working on this arduous process to ensure that these sectors, which preferred paths other than the constitutional one, return to the political path in Venezuela."
Rodríguez, who explained that a situation arose that affected compliance with the guidelines already signed between the parties (Government and Unitary Platform), said that Venezuela requested an explanation to clarify the impasse.
In this regard, he said he was surprised by the statement issued yesterday by the Unitary Platform, which stated that the government's representatives would not attend the talks in Mexico, given that he had spoken with Blyde minutes earlier, and they were simply waiting "for this situation to be resolved in order to resume the process that we have not interrupted."
"The Government Delegation," Rodríguez insisted, "maintained contact with the head of the delegation of the so-called Unitary Platform, the Norwegian facilitation team, representatives of the host team, and the accompanying countries: the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of the Netherlands."
"We have turned the page and will continue working with all our might," the plenipotentiary representative stated.
