Feijóo shows “dangerous ignorance”

The foreign minister pointed out that the Spanish politician is unaware of the reality of Venezuela

Foreign Minister Yván Gil accused the president of Spain's far-right Popular Party (PP), Alberto Núñez Feijóo, of supporting "violent actions" in Venezuela.

"He is working for a change of regime," recognizing parallel puppet governments of Western imperialism, repeating Malinche's curse," said the foreign minister.
Through his account on the social network Telegram, Gil reacted to the statements of Nuñez Feijóo, who had expressed his support for the former presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia.

He also accused the Spanish far-right leader of being ignorant of history, which “also reflects his ignorance of our reality,” Gil emphasized.

He also denounced the existence of a Venezuelan oligarchy that “has dedicated itself to waging economic war on the people, depriving them of their right to live in peace.”

The foreign minister also criticised the leader of the Spanish right for stating that Spain's arrival in America was aimed at establishing freedom and democracy, calling this speech "ridiculous" and warning of the dangerous "ignorance" it could generate among his followers, who could "idealise the colonial era as a period of entertainment, forgetting the realities of the Inquisition and the plundering of wealth."

He stressed that the Spanish empire was defeated by an "army of barefoot and ragged plainsmen" during the Venezuelan war of independence, where almost half of the population sacrificed their lives in the face of what he described as a "criminal and genocidal empire."
Pseudo-president-elect. During his speech at the La Toja-Vínculo Atlántico Forum, the president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, called Edmundo González Urrutia, who was present at this forum, the president-elect of Venezuela and said that the “desire for freedom among Venezuelans cannot be extinguished, regardless of the efforts to hide or distort it.”
