The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, highlighted this Wednesday the evolution of the revolutionary forces up to the consolidation of the youth and the current structure of the political party.
During the 582nd broadcast of his program "Con el Mazo Dando," he recalled important moments in the political history of the Bolivarian Revolution up to the creation of the PSUV and the leading role played by the party's youth.
He stated that it is a solid structure, prepared to guarantee generational change in the revolutionary process, which was created by Commander Hugo Chávez 18 years ago.
"You are Chávez's creation because 18 years ago he summoned the state of Bolívar (...) he wanted a party youth that was completely different from the youth of the Fourth Republic," he commented.
He explained that the commander advocated for a youth that was capable of "taking on individual and collective training as a fundamental part of a party" like the PSUV.
"Today we can say that we have a consolidated youth wing of the party," he emphasized. He also asserted that "those who come after this generation or this group must receive a clear path, without obstacles of any kind."
He called on young people to maintain discipline, close work with the grassroots, and permanent coordination with the allied parties of the Great Patriotic Pole.
