He oversaw the controlled demolition of building number 12 in La Guaira state

The Vice President for Policy, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reaffirmed this Friday the sustained presence of the national government in the areas affected by the earthquakes recorded on June 24.

During the controlled demolition of an irreparable building in La Guaira state, Cabello stressed that attention continues one hundred days after the earthquakes, with men and women still present since the first day.

In this regard, he emphasized the continued support of the national government during a process that still requires work, coordination, and responsiveness to the communities. “One hundred days later, the national government is still here. The national government hasn't left,” he affirmed.

He emphasized that 100 days after the earthquakes that affected La Guaira, Caracas and other areas of the country, the Bolivarian Government The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, maintains the deployment of workers, machinery and support agencies to advance the recovery of the communities.

Regarding the progress in the recovery and removal of debris, Cabello reported that, according to the assessment of the Minister for Public Works, Juan José Ramírez, approximately half of the debris has already been removed.

He stated that this progress is part of the ongoing work in the affected areas, where trucks, machinery, and personnel remain dedicated to addressing the consequences of the earthquakes.

He also highlighted the strength of the communities. "This town, in the face of adversity, 100 days later, is still getting back on its feet," he said.

On the other hand, Cabello acknowledged the continued presence of Civil Protection and explained that the teams also act when bodies are detected among the rubble. «At each site, you can see how much machinery is working, how many trucks, how many men and women have been here since day one. Civil Protection is here. When we find out there's a body, when a body is detected, we immediately act to carry out the necessary examinations and release it to the family.

He added that these efforts are part of the ongoing assistance in the affected areas..

12 controlled demolitions

During the day within the framework of the National Plan Venezuela Renace, the Minister of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace also reported that to date a total of 12 controlled demolitions have been carried out in the state of La Guaira to reduce risks, which have concluded without incident.

Cabello explained that these interventions allow for the removal of buildings that pose a danger to those working in the surrounding area. Among the pending tasks, he mentioned structures taller than five stories, classified as red and beyond repair.

In that regard, he assured that each operation includes safety precautions and the prior evacuation of the area. After the detonation, teams inspect the site to ensure that no unexploded ordnance remains, with the support of specialized dogs.

“Controlled demolition number 12, no incidents. Absolute success,” he confirmed at the end of the procedure.

He highlighted the expertise of the Venezuelan explosives experts, demonstrated during the 12 controlled demolitions carried out in La Guaira, after the earthquakes of June 24.

"Our explosives experts are demonstrating an extraordinary level. They can say whatever they want, but this is done with our technology, with our capacity, with our experience, and all of them up to this point have been successful, totally successful, including one that was done twice," Cabello emphasized.
