Afro-Venezuelans will bring ideas to vice presidencies

They have a work agenda with those branches of the national government.

Afro-Venezuelan communities and movements will begin a work agenda with the sectoral vice-presidencies of the national government to develop proposals on topics such as identity, culture, social protection, productive economy, among others.

This was reported yesterday by the sectoral vice president for Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez, during his participation in the First Conference on Afro-Venezuelan Popular Power, held in Caracas.

During the day, he called on the Afro-Venezuelan people to unite and become "a useful force for the country in any circumstance that may arise," and in the current historical-political context, "to resist in order to go on the offensive and win the battle for life."

For her part, the president of Conadeafro, Mariza el Blanco, assured that the Afro-Venezuelan People's Power is already integrated into communities, communal councils, brotherhoods and organizations in all states.

"What we want is to become visible, to gain visibility, because we are already in each of those street leaderships, we are already in the community councils, we are already in the brotherhoods, we are already in the traditional or traditional organizations, we are already in the youth groups, in the ecological and environmental groups," Blanco stated.

He stressed that Afro-Venezuelans should have a say in territorial policies.
