Foreign Minister Yván Gil met this Friday with the Chinese ambassador, Lan Hu, to review the progress of bilateral relations and high-level cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting, held at the Foreign Ministry headquarters, allowed diplomats to reaffirm the strength of the "Strategic Partnership that is Proof and All Weather" that governs political and economic exchange between Caracas and Beijing.
The Venezuelan diplomat announced via social media that the conversation also covered diplomatic and friendly relations between the two countries. With this renewed contact, they reaffirm their commitment to continue working on mutually beneficial projects.
Venezuela and China have maintained diplomatic relations since 1974, but with the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution, the ties between both nations have been consolidated as bonds of brotherhood and solidarity.
Both nations signed 31 comprehensive cooperation agreements in 2023. These legal instruments strengthen the strategic alliance and enable joint development in economic, technological, and social areas, reaffirming the strength of bilateral relations.
