Venezuela rejects Almagro's provocations about Guayana Esequiba

A statement highlights the servile attitude of Almagro, who acts on orders from ExxonMobil and the Southern Command.

Through a statement, the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejected as insolent the statements of the Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, who, unaware of the matter regarding the legitimate Venezuela's claim to Essequibo, dared to express his opinion against the country.

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, released the content of the statement, while repudiating the statements of the "corrupt and dark character" regarding "the territorial controversy over the Essequibo Guayana."

The text states that Almagro's opinion "is in line with a shameful line of provocation that attempts to destabilize the region, dictated by ExxonMobil, and supported by the United States Southern Command."

He adds that Venezuela, as a sovereign country, does not accept guardianships of any kind, which is why the National Assembly convened the Popular Power to defend our historical rights over Guayana Esequiba.

He insists that the Venezuelan government does not recognize any other way to resolve the controversy than the 1966 Geneva Agreement, which is the basis for any negotiation on the issue.

The statement ends by confirming that "Mr. Almagro's hatred of Venezuela has once again forced him to place himself outside international law, seeking to generate an unprecedented crisis in the Caribbean."

Almagro's statements were also rthrown out by the Minister of Defense G/J Vladimir Padrigo López, who assures that the OAS official is limited to following orders from the Southern Command.

Rodríguez: Almagro demonstrates infinite subordination

Vice President Delcy Rodríguez criticized the servile attitude of the Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, of whom she said that "he does not waste a second in showing his masters in the north his infinite, groveling subordination."

He added that in addition to his "creeping" behavior, the official also demonstrates his "deep ignorance of the history of our Latin America" due to his lack of knowledge of Venezuela's historic claim to the Essequibo region.

"Guyana's attempts to threaten Venezuela with the discredited OAS will be met with fierce rejection by the Venezuelan people," the senior Venezuelan official wrote on her X account (formerly Twitter).

"We have more than enough historical, legal and political reasons to defend our legitimate rights over Essequibo," he concluded.
