Venezuela rejects G7 interference in electoral system

Foreign Minister Yván Gil affirmed that those who have been "rejected by their own people" intend to resort to colonial practices and get involved in matters that do not concern them.

The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejected the criticism of the Group of Seven (G7) of the electoral system in Venezuela.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs made this known through a post published on his official account on the social network X, where he described the G7 leadership as decadent, poor, and ridiculous. "Decadent imperialism has never had such poor and ridiculous leadership as the one the G7 exhibits today."

The foreign minister's response is due to international media reporting that the G7 leaders presented a final declaration of their meeting held in Bari, Italy, where they resorted to narratives to attack the country for an alleged political, economic and humanitarian crisis, as well as the implementation of the Barbados Agreement.

In this regard, Gil stated that those who have been "rejected by their own people" are seeking to resort to colonial practices and interfere in matters that do not concern them.

"Our Revolutionary Democracy will tell you again on July 28th that we are free and sovereign, and that your lackeys will not return!" the Foreign Minister said on social media.
