The International Criminal Court (ICC), in its annual report, confirmed the consignment of evidence and evidence by Venezuela regarding the lawsuit against United States officials for committing crimes against humanity as a result of the blockade and the coercive measures imposed in the country.
The information was released by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza, who indicated that the ICC continues to study the demand imposed by the Venezuelan government.
«In her annual report, the Public Prosecutor #ICC confirms that he received the voluminous report from Prosecutor G @TarekWiliamSaab, as part of the cooperation. It also continues to study our lawsuit against US officials for crimes against humanity as a result of the sanctions," the Foreign Minister wrote on his Twitter account.
For her part, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reiterated that "Venezuela is moving forward with its lawsuit against the US government authorities who, through the criminal blockade, systematically attack the Venezuelan people."

The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, issued a statement in which he welcomes that the report on the 2020 Preliminary Examination Activities, presented this December 14 by the Prosecutor's Office of the Inernational Criminal Court, has shown that from the institution and the Venezuelan State is collaborating with this international legal body.
"This decision shows that Venezuelan institutions are taking all necessary steps and addressing all the requests of the Attorney General's Office in a timely manner, and therefore, they are demonstrating their firm willingness to cooperate, as is clearly outlined in this preliminary report and will continue to do so," reads part of the statement.

It should be remembered that, on February 13 of this year, the Government of Venezuela presented to the Court a complaint for crimes against humanity, for the imposition of unilateral measures by the United States. This would be the second time that Venezuela has presented evidence of the collateral damage that the White House has caused to the country and its population.
Given this, the International Criminal Court (ICC) opened a preliminary examination of the complaint by Venezuela against the government of the United States (USA), for the consequences caused by the coercive and unilateral measures imposed against the country.
Venezuela has reiterated its respect and support for the International Criminal Court, as well as its urgent evolution in the interests of the genuine values of justice and of all humanity, having the opportunity to exchange views on matters of mutual interest.
