The president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez, in his capacity as head of the delegation for the Bolivarian Government in the process of dialogue with the opposition, will ask the verification commission of the agreements signed in Barbados to meet to evaluate the situation, due to the violation of the fourth point reflected in the signed document.
Rodríguez said that the Verification Commission will be convened because "what happened on Sunday, October 22 (primary elections of the extreme right) was not an election, it was once again an attempt to lead the country into anxiety, unrest, and the search for more sanctions against Venezuela. That is the attempt, that is the move," he denounced.
“We are going to ask the commission for verification of the signed agreements to meet to evaluate this situation because point four is being violated,” Rodríguez reported.
This point of the agreement called: Partial agreement on the promise of political rights and electoral guarantees for all says: “The parties will ensure that the electoral conditions referred to in this agreement (Audit of the registry, audit of votes, counting of votes , one voter, one vote, the 18 electoral audits, etc.) are equally applicable to the rest of the electoral processes that must be carried out.

Likewise, he reiterated the commitment of the National Government to comply with the commitment signed in Barbados, signed by the Unitary Platform.
"One is responsible for what is there, for complying with the conditions established in the agreement, which were sullied, crushed, chewed up and violated last Sunday. If the Unitary Platform wanted to comply with the agreement, it should hold that election with the CNE, precisely so that four crooks do not come to steal a popular consultation," he stressed.
