The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) reiterated on Monday its support for Russia in the face of the coercive measures and discredit campaign against it, after the special military operations that began on February 24 on Ukraine.
"Russia is exercising its right to defend itself, and now it's the bad guy. We fully support it. The more time passes, the worse it will be for the Nazis in Ukraine," said Diosdado Cabello, the first vice president of the red party.
"We will always raise the flag of peace," Cabello added at a press conference.
In this sense, he condemned the actions of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to promote war in Europe.
"We condemn the NATO forces that have tried to take over the entire world, and when someone responds, the news comes out and tries to turn lies into truth," Cabello denounced.
He pointed out that they tried to impose the same actions on Venezuela and other smaller countries as on Russia.
"They ran into Russia. They did it to Libya, Iraq. They did it to Syria, but Russia responded. That's NATO," he added.
"Here, a murderer whose actions killed more than 43 people was turned into a hero, into a victim. 'Poor thing, they didn't let him kill anymore.' That's how the world is right now with the Ukraine and Russia issue," he added.
