"The child God is born! Jesus of Nazareth, son of Mary and Joseph, who was born in historic Palestine to bring us the good news of freedom and happiness to the peoples," the head of state expressed through his social media accounts.
The president added that the arrival of the baby Jesus has been "the best gift we could have received, embraced as a family, surrounded by the joy of our sons, daughters, grandsons, and granddaughters," and with renewed faith in his blessing and protection.
The message was accompanied by a video that included messages from Commander Hugo Chávez and President Maduro on the meaning of Christmas, which brings hope and happiness to the people.
