The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, began his Eurasian tour on Tuesday with the arrival in Ankara, Turkey.
In images broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the Venezuelan head of state was received by a delegation and is accompanied by the first combatant, Cilia Flores.
"Brotherhood, cooperation and unity of our peoples," the national leader wrote on his Twitter account.
According to turkey Media, The Presidential Directorate of Communications of the country indicated that the visit of President Nicolás Maduro is due to an invitation made by his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moro, will pay an official visit to our country on June 7-8, 2022 at the invitation of our President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan," the statement said.
It is expected that the meeting will review all cooperation agreements between the two nations, as well as an exchange of views on regional and global issues.
It should be remembered that in April both countries signed seven agreements during a visit to Venezuela by the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu.
In that meeting, President Maduro expressed his willingness to travel to Turkey.
Caracas and Ankara have signed 20 bilateral agreements, one of the most recent being the tourism implementation programs between 2022 and 2024.
