The president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, shared a message on Tuesday to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus and send a hug to the Venezuelan family, wishing them a Merry Christmas.
"With joy, and united as a family, we Christians prepare today, December 24, to celebrate the historic birth of the child Jesus, the prophet, the Messiah who with his arrival announces a new time of hope, peace and reconciliation," he expressed through his social media accounts.
He also stated that "we dedicate our prayers to place the name of Venezuela in his hands, so that he may fill it with his blessings and blessings."
"With profound love, joy, and our truth, we open our hearts ready to receive your mercy. A hug to the Venezuelan family! Merry Christmas!" concluded the head of state's message.
The publication is accompanied by a video showing families celebrating Christmas and highlighting the December traditions characteristic of Venezuela, along with the narration of part of a poem by Aquiles Nazoa.
For her part, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodriguez, highlighted that Venezuelans "are a good and peaceful people," hoping that these days bring hope, prosperity, and happiness to all.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Yván Gil sent a message to all Venezuelans hoping for "a season filled with peace, love, and hope."
"This is a time to reflect on family, solidarity, and the values that unite us as a country of peace fighting to defend its self-determination and social development," the foreign minister said, urging continued work together for a better future.
