President: The US stabbed the dialogue table in Mexico

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured this Saturday that the US caused a rupture in the dialogue processes in Mexico.

In this sense, the dignitary denounced that the United States, by kidnapping the Venezuelan diplomat Alex Saab, sabotaged the dialogue between the opposition and the national government established in Mexico.

"The US stabbed the dialogue in the back (…) The US assured that it would not take our diplomat Alex Saab away," he denounced.

In this regard, he explained that the opposition coordinator, Gerardo Blyde, held talks with the US State Department and had given guarantees that the extradition of the Venezuelan diplomat, Alex Saab, would not be carried out.

“They kidnapped Alex Saab in a Florida jail, accusing him of a thousand false documents, and Alex Saab continues to be one of the representatives of the Mexican Dialogue Table. There would have to be big changes for us to return to Mexico ”, emphasized the national president.

During an interview with Spanish journalist Ignacio Ramonet, the Head of State reaffirmed his call for political dialogue in the country. "I believe in dialogue, in understanding, I am against the calls made by the opposition to invade us."

"I have called for dialogue during the almost nine years that I have been president in all circumstances, with all oppositions, because I am a man of dialogue and peace," Maduro said.

The national leader said that a bridge of understanding had been established with sectors of the extremist opposition. “The dialogues were going very well, we were already getting into the great issues, the re-institutionalization of Venezuela, the economy, the criminal sanctions, the life of the country and, once again, when there were already pre-agreements and we were going to give good news for the country, the United States Department of State is taking an action that they knew would cause a breakdown in the dialogues, ”he stressed.

“When we went to Mexico, we understood that when we sat down to talk with the extremist-guaidocist opposition, we would sit down to talk with the United States. But, we already know the fate of the Mexican negotiations. It was from the North that they stabbed the mop to derail the peace negotiations in Mexico, "he recalled.

"I always say to my colleagues, leaders, female leaders, political bosses, of the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP), United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), governors: Let's not expect anything but from ourselves."

“Hopefully, who knows when and with whom the possibilities of a direct, courageous, sincere and understanding dialogue with the United States government will open. If it happens, very good, and if it doesn't happen, we continue on our way ”, he concluded.

Corrupt and stateless far right

The Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela faces a corrupt extreme right and sells homeland that has done a lot of damage to the country, as stated by the constitutional president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

"These people - the extreme right - have shown the moral rot in which they move, they put their claws like birds of prey on these companies -CITGO and Monómeros-, on these assets, and what they have done is steal them and distribute them like loot ”, He denounced.

The Venezuelan president recalled that the United States government declared, more than a year ago, that it had given some 1.600 billion dollars to the far-right group led by Juan Guaidó and Leopoldo López.

“There are 1.600 million dollars of American taxpayers, one day jurists will emerge, good people, who seek the truth. Where did they get the money, who did they give it to, and how did they embezzle it? " he questioned.
