Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López described a publication of the Colombian magazine Semana, in which the alleged purchase of Iranian weapons by Venezuela, was described as “mess” and “bad assembly”.
He stressed that this publication is part of the actions of the right of the neighboring country to try to destabilize the calm and tranquility of the region today.
"It is rude, it is full of lies, that is not surprising, it is a means of the Colombian oligarchy, which has a purpose and is to disturb," he said.
He also stressed that the publication is part of the desperation of the Colombian political class that is trying to save itself from the current crisis and the multiple social problems that it has been confronting for several years.
He pointed out that it was regrettable that a means of communication was used for this type of "trickery" with the sole purpose of attacking and generating fear regarding Venezuela.
The magazine in its most recent edition showed a series of documents, with inconsistencies, and affirms that the Venezuelan government acquired weapons that include Talash anti-aircraft missiles, AGM-84 anti-ship rockets, UB-32 launcher with S-5 rockets, among other equipment from Last generation.
