Maduro: Venezuela does not ask anyone for cocoa

He affirmed that the country will continue to recover fully in all areas with its own effort

President Nicolás Maduro stated this Thursday that "Venezuela doesn't ask anyone for cocoa," referring to the attacks, sanctions, and blockades it has endured in recent years.

"They launched all their missiles at us, sanctions, war on the oil industry, they launched all their missiles at us and they couldn't defeat us. And we don't ask for cocoa from anyone in this world (...) a word to the wise is enough," said the president during the program La Hora de la Salsa, broadcast on the channel. Radio Miraflores.

He emphasized that Venezuela has recovered and "will fully recover in all its social, economic, cultural, and educational conditions" through its own efforts.

"We Venezuelans need happiness, a smile, a good joke, a good party to be happy. We are very Caribbean in that sense. Venezuela is recovering, step by step, through our own efforts," the head of state emphasized.

As part of the government's recovery plans, Maduro recalled that this Friday the Good Government 1×10 starts, an initiative that will integrate the Homeland System and is aimed at improving care for the population.

With this, Maduro said, Venezuelans will have a tool in their community to solve problems in areas such as health, education, public services, roads, security and others.

"So they can serve directly and have a way to connect with us so we can govern from the communities. Empowering people even more," added the president, who called the 1x10 "a revolution in good governance."

UNHCR and migration

Maduro announced that the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with the Director General of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to coordinate efforts in favor of Venezuelan migrants.

"Much has been said about migration, and well, there are people who have used the migrant issue to enrich themselves, to steal, to borrow money from international organizations. The first to do so is (Colombian President) Iván Duque, who has enriched himself at the expense of Venezuelan migrants," he said.

He indicated that the national government has filed the complaint to "continue favoring Venezuelan migrants" before international organizations, asking them to support the Return to the Homeland Plan to bring Venezuelans back to the country.

"Every plane we put on fills up immediately (…) We have a list of Venezuelans who want to return from Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia," he added.

In this context, she reported that the Vice President "has made the initial arrangements with the UNHCR to stop giving money to thieves and instead use their funds to benefit Venezuelan migrants."

  1. This is how my president Nicolás Maduro is, let them not forget that if they want dialogue they must release the Venezuelan diplomat Alex Saab, and I certify that Venezuela does not ask anyone for cocoa...
    Long live Chavez forever!!!

  2. Let's continue on the path of social justice, let's build bridges with opponents, but with opponents who play fair with the true rules of democracy, which are elections. Let us recognize their results: triumphs and defeats and the committed opponents will do the same: respect their results with respect to the political opponent. Let's banish political hatred from our country, I know that there are opposition leaders who are sick with hate and there are many followers of that opposition who are sprinkled with that hatred. As far as possible, let's carry out anti-political hate campaigns. Love for our country and for our people, regardless of the political side they are on.

  3. With good reason NICO spoke. We Venezuelans must follow the path of the liberator. With our own effort we defeat all kinds of calamities. NOW WHY NOT? WITH CONSISTENCE AND WORK ALL VENEZUELANS WILL MAKE THIS COUNTRY THE BEST DESTINATION IN THE WORLD
